Swim the Wight - Colwell Bay

Our Colwell Bay Sea Cafe takes place every week, on Friday as long as the conditions allow - safety first! This is a risk assessed and supervised session led by qualified Open Water Swimming Coaches. Swimmers, bobbers and dippers ALL welcome! Beach access is a short walk from either on road free parking (harder in the summer holidays) the small public car park close to the slipway or the green at the top of the road. Please allow for an hour, two if you fancy joining us for a chat afterwards. We use a local cafe post swim and in the winter months we drive to an alternative venue. There may be steps depending on which area of the beach the swim takes place, decision can be made last minute due to sea conditions and tide height. Please be aware that you will have to provide proof of cold water acclimatisation in the colder months or attend an online acclimatisations session - please see our website for details.
