SWIM24 - Luxborough Lakes

Join us at Luxborough Lake as we fundraise for 2 amazing and worthy charities. Over the weekend of June 13th & 14th 2026 we will swim for 24hrs and everybody is welcome, regardless of ability. You do not need to be a strong swimmer to get involved, you do not have to be super fit to get involved, you just need to be able to swim.

All proceeds from this event will be split 50/50 between St Francis Hospice of Romford and Dementia UK
The event begins at 11am on Saturday June 13th, then continue through the day and the night and will finish at 11am on Sunday 14th.

Swimmers will have the freedom of the lake to use the 250m, 500m or 750m courses and if you simply want to dip for a few minutes that is absolutely fine as well. Swim waves will begin on the hour every hour and swimmers will be allowed to be in the water for 50mins before resetting for the next wave. Swimming multiple waves is very much encouraged, please feel free to do as many waves as you wish by just choosing different time slots.

All swimmers will be asked to purchase an event specific swim hat and proceeds from this will go to the charities.

You DO NOT need to be a regular swimmer at Luxborough Lakes as all swimmers will receive a briefing prior to entering the water. This event is open to all NOWCA swimmers from any venue.
This event is open to all swimmers aged 12+ however we WILL NOT be allowing those under 18yrs old to swim through the night time waves, this being 9:00pm - 6:00am.
Tow floats will be mandatory through the night time waves of 9:00pm – 6:00am.

Due to the nature of this event being a charity fundraiser refunds will not be offered.
